Bamboo Whisk (chasen)
Before each use, soak the whisk in warm water for a short time to soften the bamboo and prevent it from becoming brittle during whisking. When whisking, use a "Z" or "M" motion for at least 20 seconds. Continue until a nice froth forms, ensuring no clumps remain.
Bamboo Scoop (chashaku)
Using your chashaku, carefully scoop matcha powder from the tin. Traditionally, one scoop of the Chashaku holds approximately 1 gram of matcha powder.

Bamboo Whisk (chasen): After each use, clean the whisk by gently rinsing it in warm water, avoid using soap or placing it in the dishwasher. Allow the whisk to air dry completely by either placing it on a whisk holder or placing it upside down.
Bamboo Scoop (chashaku): Do not rinse with water. Clean with a dry paper towel after every use.
